Electrician

This really is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrician to join Dalkia on a permanent basis.

Dalkia Facilities, the maintenance arm of the Dalkia group which are part of the wider EDF Group.

We have been under Contract at the University of Lincoln since 2009 carrying out the Mechanical and Electrical Planned and Reactive Maintenance. Site Overview

The on-site team consists of 38 members including an, Contract Manager, 4 Supervisors, Contract Support team and a team of 27 Engineers with skill sets including but not limited to Electricians, Gas Engineers, Plumbers, A/C Engineers, Fire Dampers and Building Fabric Engineers. We currently maintain in excess of 100 individual buildings across 3 Campus’.

Position Overview

We are looking to recruit a qualified Electrician to undertake Reactive and Planned Maintenance and Minor Works. Experience of working in a University / Education environment would be beneficial as would a general maintenance background.

The salary offered is in the region of £38,000.00 per annum dependent upon experience.

40 hour week, working Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00

25 Holidays per year plus Bank Holidays

Van included

In addition to the standard week we operate a call out rota which is for 7 days, Monday – Friday 17:00 until 08:00, weekends 24 hour cover. If you are unable to cover call out on your week it is your responsibility to arrange alternative cover with another Engineer. Call out standby is paid at £100.00 per week/£150 containing a week with a Bank Holiday with call outs paid at the appropriate overtime rates.
