Project Overview

Dalkia was engaged to complete the design and build of the M&E installation at the new venue.

Approach

Combining traditional construction methods with modular techniques, meant build time was reduced without sacrificing quality. The development was a modular construction, with each bedroom delivered to site as an individual pre-fabricated structural module. This approach was applied to the first, second and third floors. The ground floor, including six bedrooms, was a traditional build structural frame inclusive of podium deck.

Result

Dalkia successfully installed a number of cooling, heating and ventilation systems as well as a hot water plant and CHP plant. The new £10m, 118-room hotel at Hamilton Park Racecourse opened on time and to budget, creating 20 new jobs and generating an extra £5.9m revenue per year for the customer.

Testimonial

We have a fantastic venue with unique grounds and first-class facilities that we continue to invest heavily in to ensure that we are meeting the constantly evolving expectations of our customers. The addition of the hotel will undoubtedly complement and expand the range of services we are able to offer.
