We are currently working with Scottish Fire & Rescue Service (SFRS) via our parent company EDF.
EDF are the utilities provider for the SFRS Estate and are assisting in their target to become carbon neutral. Notably, we have been engaged to provide guidance and assistance in developing SFRS’s carbon neutral plan for the estate whilst also acting as Principal Contractor and Principal Designer, leading the design and delivery of the low carbon systems for each individual building.
To reach their carbon neutral targets we have assessed each site and are delivering installation works including PV installation with Battery Storage, Heatboss systems to monitor and control energy usage across the estate and energy efficient boiler replacement projects where required.
SFRS are already seeing the benefits of upgrading and monitoring their M&E systems. The initial cost of the works will result in huge cost savings in the long-term with reduced carbon emissions across the whole of the estate in line with their 2025 targets. Works are ongoing throughout 2021 to complete the assessments and installations.
