Project Overview
Dalkia’s contract covered facilities for aircrew, space for maintenance, training and operational planning as well as landing pads designed for the F-35s aircraft capability to land vertically.
Dalkia secured the contract for the design and build of a new aircraft hangar with associated support buildings known as an operational conversion unit which included the reconstruction of two runways and taxiways.

Careful planning was imperative given the secure nature of the project and the fact that the station remained operational throughout the works. Dalkia deployed a team that adhered to strict security policies to complete the work to the client’s requirements.
Works included the installation of complex mechanical and electrical systems to the Runway Lighting Control Buildings associated with the Air Operating Surfaces refurbishment project. Additionally we delivered installations for the Operational Conversion Unit (OCU) consisting of a hangar, offices and technical facilities, canteen for the pilots, the Aircraft Standing Platforms for both the OCU and Squadron Buildings, power and lighting to the security systems in association with the enclave fencing, and Ground Support Equipment Stores.
Dalkia delivered the M&E design and build work supporting the project on time and budget and whilst maintaining the strictest confidentiality measures. This has enabled the client RAF Marham to expand its facilities and presence whilst maintaining a safe and modern working environment.
It was an absolute pleasure working with Dalkia. Their contribution played a significant part in the overall successful early completion of an award-winning project of national interest.
