Initially trialed on selected projects in 2024 under the leadership of Mark Snell, Technical Director for Digital, MMC and Net Zero, OpenSpace quickly demonstrated its value. It offered rapid documentation, intuitive workflows and seamless access to accurate site conditions – all of which contributed to faster decision-making and improved coordination.
Mark says, “Embracing digital innovation is central to how we deliver projects more efficiently and transparently. OpenSpace enables our teams to make informed, data-driven decisions with real-time visual insights, enhancing quality control and collaboration across sites. The ability to track progress remotely, improve coordination with contractors, and streamline reporting is already proving invaluable.”
The platform is now integrated into our daily workflows, supporting remote site inspections, health and safety checks, and quality assurance processes. Teams are also using the visuals to improve coordination with contractors and design teams, and to compare site conditions against models using the as-built functionality.
By bringing more visibility to day-to-day activities, we’re helping our teams make faster, better-informed decisions. It’s a great example of how we’re applying digital innovation in practical ways to support project delivery and strengthen outcomes for clients.
