Armed Forces Day – 25.06.22
Armed Forces Day is the annual opportunity for us all to come together in recognition and celebration of the wonderful service provided by our regular and reservist soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines, past and present, and the families that have supported them in turn. Rarely in our recent history has the British Public owed so much to those in uniform. Whether manning Covid testing stations, giving up weekends and leave to bolster the NHS, or rolling out much needed vaccines across the country, our Armed Forces have been on the frontlines in the fight against Covid-19.
Hosted by SLT Sponsor Barry Sheridan (Critical BUD) and ahead of Armed Forces Day, on Saturday 25th June 2022, the Armed Forces Network celebrated with a day trip to HMS Belfast located in the heart of London. Full of history and wonderful staff, several members of the network spent a wonderful afternoon aboard HMS Belfast.
