This opportunity will be supporting projects across the North and South. 

Role Overview

As a Planner, you will co-rdinate and optimize the schedules and resources within the organization. You will ensure efficient utilization of time, staff, and equipment to meet operational demands and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive schedules for employees, equipment, and other resources based on project requirements, deadlines and operational needs.
  • Collaborate with all departments to understand their scheduling needs.
  • Communicate schedules with relevant departments and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
  • Generate and analyse reports to ensure optimal performance, efficiency and improvements.
  • Attend live projects to coordinate planning updates with Project Managers.

Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience

  • Primavera P6 practioner
  • Experience using MS Project and or Asta Power Projects.
  • Experience of working in a planning or scheduling role ideally within the Engineering or Construction sectors.
  • Excellent IT skills including the ability to generate reports.
  • A ‘can-do’, positive attitude to your work and to potential problems.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships in order to collaborate with all departments and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable planning and prioritisation skills.

Mechanical Project Engineer
Role Overview The suitable candidate for this role would possess solid multi-tasking and planning skills, as they would be required to manage complex carbon reduction M&E projects. The successful candidate will have proven experience working on multi discipline projects with a good knowledge of general construction processes and engineering standards applicable to a variety of diverse projects. Dalkia Energy Services projects include New Energy Centres, Steam, HTHW and LTHW water services, Heat Pumps, Domestic Water services, Boreholes, pumping systems, BMS, Chillers and chilled water systems, HV/LV distribution systems, CHP, standby generation, UPS, battery storage and connection to the DNO electricity distribution systems. Projects are generally undertaken on live operational sites, often with critical engineering systems where retention of resilience is required. Ideally, they will have hands-on experience of project design, installation, commissioning, and operation of engineering systems. The candidate will both produce designs and manage external design teams to provide buildable designs to the level of detail necessary to mitigate construction and operational risks to execute energy saving measures, which will utilise their experience of delivering solutions on live sites. They will also be able to react to changes in design and understand the impact of design changes at different stages of the project on other disciplines designs, project delivery and cost. The candidate will also work with our investment grade audit team to provide buildable designs to execute energy saving measures, which will utilise their experience of delivering solutions on live sites. They will also assist the electrical engineers in the mechanical design for electrical installations, such as generators.
