Cleaner (Evenings)

Dalkia have an opportunity for a P/T Evening Cleaner to join our team based at our EDF office in Hove.

Hours:

20 hours per week

Mon – Fri 5pm – 9pm

General Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Evening Cleaner to join our facilities team. The successful candidate will play an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across a group of occupied office buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitise toilets, washrooms, and kitchen areas throughout the day.
• Ensure all consumables (e.g., soap, hand towels, toilet tissue, kitchen supplies) are replenished as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in meeting rooms and shared areas.
• Empty rubbish and recycling bins, ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
• Respond promptly to any cleaning requests or urgent situations reported by staff.
• Conduct regular checks of high-traffic areas to ensure standards are maintained.
• Work in line with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Report any maintenance or stock issues to the Facilities Manager or Supervisor.

Personal Attributes:

• Previous cleaning experience in an office or commercial environment (preferred but not essential).
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.

Qualifications or required experience:

• NVQ level 1or 2 for cleaning services would be preferable however relevant experience will also be considered.
• Awareness of Risk Assessments, COSHH and working safely with equipment
• Ability to follow work instructions
• Be competent to perform Point of Work Risk Assessment- Training will be given
• Competent and trained to use all equipment / machinery relevant to the role – Training will be given.
