Dalkia have an opportunity for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team based at our EDF office in Doxford, Sunderland.

Job Overview
This is a great opportunity for a proactive Customer Focused individual to join our Facilities Management Team, providing a “5* Customer Service Experience” to users of our site. The role will be the first point of contact for cleaning staff, ensuring that everyone receives a safe start to shifts and understands tasks and standards always needed within our customers’ office.
You will actively support and adopt best practice across all operations within the contract, and will be an ambassador for first class Customer Service.
You will be responsible for supervising the cleaning of all site areas to include all hard/carpeted floors, sanitary and kitchenette areas, walls, doors, fixtures and fittings where appropriate.
Responsibilities
- To supervise the current team of cleaners ensuring a high level of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the building and maintaining the effective running of the team. Carry out all cleaning duties as required. Cleaning duties will include cleaning, washing, sweeping, scrubbing, sanitising, shampooing, vacuum cleaning, polishing and dusting of designated areas as required by the Client.
- Specialist cleaning where requested by the client, i.e. Carpet shampooing, comms room cleans.
- To be aware of the conditions associated with the cleaning of the building relating to the site users and to work to the appropriate Health and Safety rules and processes.
- Ensure that internal facilities are maintained to a clean and hygienic condition
- Ensure equipment is clean and ready use. To use the appropriate equipment, materials, tools and machinery to ensure the job is done effectively.
- Ensure the effective use of equipment and materials reporting any issues to the Site Management team.
- Check all facilities are stocked sufficiently as required
- Advise of low stock levels reporting to the site manager to ensure the correct quantities are available
- Identify faults within the site and report them to the Site Manager
- Help manage and control of any cleaning chemicals according to COSHH regulations
- Adhere to all Company health and safety requirements and expectations
- Be prepared to undertake additional training to aid flexibility
- Identify areas where improvements need to be made, and ensuring these are carried out supporting the Site Manager in achieving the desired site standards
- Make suggestions to improve the services of the team
- Wear the appropriate uniforms and safety equipment where required

Person Specification
- Experience in this role is preferred but not essential as all candidates will be given the necessary training.
- Able to communicate at all levels and share information effectively
- Able to provide excellent levels of customer service and possess experience in customer service driven environment
- Positive solution driven mindset
- The ability to multitask and prioritise your workload with a can do attitude
- Teamwork skills and the ability to motivate self and others
- IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, TEAMS)
- A practical, flexible and innovative approach to work – providing cover when required
- Presentable and personable
- Good listener
- Methodical Approach and great eye for detail and exemplify strong organisational skills
- BICS training will be an advantage
