Community Facilities Technician

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Community Facilities Technician to join our team in East Dunbartonshire. You will join us on a a part-time, Permanent basis. Schedule will be Monday-Thursday 6pm – 10pm and Saturday 8am – 4pm (25 hour)

About the Role :

To undertake day-to-day maintenance activities, routine service, fault finding, and repair of building services and equipment.

· Open and close school in accordance with required school occupancy times.

· Carry out internal and external checks of building and report faults to Help Desk such as damaged tiles, leaks etc.

· Carry out non-specialist repairs.

· Ensure that PPM tasks are carried out and completed within the timescales.

· Ensure all visitors sign in and out of site and to include control of keys.

· Ensure Site Induction has been carried out for all contractors and visitors.

· Ensure Risk Assessments/Method Statements are reviewed for work being carried out

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

· Ensure the operation of the school is compliant at all times.

Person Specification

The knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience relevant to the position are:

Essential

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understand safe working practices and health and safety legislation.
  • Ability to work on their own
  • Well-organised and capable of prioritising own workload.
  • Flexible approach to working as part of a team.
  • Previous experience of working in a maintenance environment.

Desirable

  • Experience of Facilities/Maintenance Technician.
