We are a leading provider of technical, engineering and energy solutions across the UK. We deliver complex projects with precision, innovation and a commitment to safety & sustainability. Our teams work across critical environments, supporting clients in healthcare, industrial, commercial & energy sectors.

We’re now looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join our delivery team on the Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital project — a major live‑environment healthcare scheme where quality, safety and coordination are absolutely key.

What You’ll Do

As Construction Manager, you’ll play a central role in leading the on‑site delivery of MEP construction activities. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors to ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with Imtech’s PDS and contractual requirements.

Your role will include:

  • Leading and managing the on‑site installation team, including subcontractors
  • Ensuring all works meet quality, safety and compliance standards
  • Overseeing construction planning, logistics and resource coordination
  • Supporting design, engineering and procurement handovers into construction
  • Monitoring progress, productivity and performance against programme
  • Driving best practice, continuous improvement and a positive site culture
  • Supporting commissioning, handover and close‑out activities
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the project
  • This is a hands‑on leadership role where your ability to influence, guide and support teams will be essential.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who brings both technical strength and strong people leadership, including:

  • Experience managing construction delivery on large MEP or complex building services projects
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, logistics and live‑environment working
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with the confidence to challenge and improve
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • A commitment to safety, quality and delivering a great experience for everyone on site

Relevant construction qualifications (NVQ, HNC/HND, SMSTS, CSCS/ECS etc.) are essential.
