Role Overview
Dalkia Energy Solutions (DES) operates within the energy performance contracting market, providing long-term (5 to 25 year) solutions that deliver guaranteed energy, carbon, and maintenance savings. Our portfolio includes energy performance and maintenance contracts, Dalkia Low Carbon Solutions (DKLCS), DES M&V, and the Barkantine Heat and Power Company (BHPC) district heating scheme.
The Contract Manager helps to ensure that contracts are delivered to agreed financial and operational performance levels, working closely with clients, service providers, and colleagues across the business. The role supports the Head of Asset Performance and contributes to maintaining positive client relationships and effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Support the delivery and monitoring of EPC and O&M contracts, including client reporting, contract compliance, and operational performance.
- Assist with managing third-party contractors, working alongside commercial and procurement teams.
- Contribute to understanding and monitoring DES’s portfolio of contracts, ensuring compliance and performance targets are met.
- Help implement policies and procedures required by the DES Asset Performance Team.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, energy consultants, and service providers.
- Support with resolving contract-related issues by liaising with clients, internal commercial, and legal teams.
- Assist in monitoring operational budgets with the finance team and O&M providers, ensuring reporting is accurate and up to date.
- Take part in team discussions on portfolio performance and business growth, contributing insights and updates from contract delivery.
- Ensure accurate reporting of contract and performance data, including preparing information for monthly reviews.
- Provide support in onboarding new sites, ensuring data and information are in place to monitor energy and carbon savings.
- Work with the Data Management Engineer to highlight areas for improvement in reporting and performance dashboards.
- Attend client meetings, track agreed actions, and ensure follow-ups are completed
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in managing EPC, O&M, or facilities management contracts in complex environments.
- Strong track record in client relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
- Commercial awareness with experience overseeing budgets, compliance, and performance reporting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a professional, client-facing approach.
- Knowledge of engineering principles.
- Experience in hospital EPC or PFI contract management.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar systems.
- Ability to mentor team members, adapt quickly, and support evolving business needs
