Role Overview
As a Contracts Manager, reporting directly into the Head of Asset Performance you will be working on a portfolio of projects to ensure we operate to comply with our contractual obligations. This will involve working closely with the Asset Performance Team, the Facilities Management Team and the Client on a daily basis producing progress reports, overseeing operational activities and to assist the management of a P&L across three different business areas.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Ensure that monthly quarterly and annual reports meet key business and contractual deadlines
- Support and advise Head of Performance with regards to decision making and contractual obligations.
- Assist the Head of Asset Performance manage the financial performance of each contract including provisions and planning around our O&M activities and lifecycle planning
- Ensure that company governance with regards to commercial matters is adhered to at all times
- Ensure that the company commercial processes are followed
- Ensure that projects strictly adhere to the terms of the agreed contract
- Ensure that the Dalkia Facilities Team are managed in accordance with their O&M contractual agreement/obligations following the company ethos
- Ensure that the business is protected from claims both upstream (client) and downstream (supply chain)
- Develop effective working relationships between all parties. This includes clients, energy consultants, third party maintenance providers and small projects work providers.
- Ensure that the Asset Performance team have an understanding and are compliant with existing and future contracts across the entire portfolio including any implications pertaining to contract variations.
- Ensure the maximisation of project opportunities and minimisation of project risk
- Assist the Head of Asset Performance in key business tasks/projects from time to time as required
Knowledge, Skills, Education & Experience
- A degree in a related subject and/or a chartership
- A proven track record in a responsible commercial role with demonstrable success in managing projects and people to a successful outcome
- Experience in the management of typical PFI & EPC framework agreements
- Experience of main contracting on projects in excess of c£10m
- Experience of managing teams and developing talent
- A proven track record of working with large hospital trust and/or commercial clients and complex contracts including contract dispute resolution
- IT literacy in the Microsoft suite of software (Excel, Word etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills
