Dalkia Engineering has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join our talented  Specialist Services Team in the South Region

In this key role, you will oversee the commercial and contractual management of critical nuclear projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering exceptional value to our client. What you’ll be doing

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including negotiation, execution, administration, and close-out.
  • Ensure all contract activities comply with nuclear regulations, security requirements, and Dalkia governance.
  • Monitor project commercial performance, including cost control, forecasting, cash flow, variations, and claims.
  • Lead the management of variations, compensation events, and change control processes.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, acting as the key commercial point of contact on nuclear sites.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate subcontract agreements, ensuring alignment with main contract requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive audit trails and contract records in line with regulatory expectations.
  • Drive continuous improvement and best practice across all stages of contract delivery.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in contract or commercial management within highly regulated sectors (preferably nuclear, defence, energy, or major infrastructure).
  • Strong working knowledge of contracts and general contract law principles.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work within secure or controlled environments and adhere to nuclear safety standards.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in cost control, forecasting, and commercial reporting.
  • Confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Desirable: Experience on nuclear licensed sites, security clearance (SC/DV), and professional qualifications (CIPS, RICS, or relevant degree).

Construction Design Lead (CDM 2015)
As a Construction Design Lead and CDM 2015, you will be responsible for supporting the design process across all phases of construction projects, ensuring that all design activities are compliant with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. You will be required to identify and mitigate design-related health and safety risks from the earliest stages. Your role involves Supporting multidisciplinary design teams, supporting design deliverables in line with project timelines, and ensuring that all design outputs are technically sound, buildable, and aligned with client requirements. You will support the integration of digital tools such as BIM, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and ensure that all design information is clearly communicated to construction teams.
