Location: Runcorn (covering either Liverpool or Wirral – two positions available)
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

At Dalkia, no two days are the same. We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Facilities Manager to join our dedicated team supporting our PFI Schools contract. In this vital role, you’ll take the lead on maintenance and repair operations across multiple school sites, ensuring our environments are safe, efficient, and inspiring places to learn and work.

What you’ll do

• Lead and support a team of Caretakers, Cleaning Supervisors, and Cleaners across your assigned schools.
• Coordinate maintenance and facilities activities with both internal teams and external contractors to deliver a high standard of service.
• Ensure all third-party providers work in full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with school Business Managers, including holding regular biweekly meetings.
• Take responsibility for managing facilities contracts across 2–5 schools within your local area.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience in Facilities Management or a related field (experience in education settings is advantageous).
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards; a relevant qualification is preferred.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Competence in Microsoft Office and other relevant IT systems.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
