Nuclear Supply Chain Manager

Within this commitment, Dalkia Engineering is establishing a dedicated ‘New Nuclear’ capability, enabling direct employment on New Build Nuclear projects across the UK as a trusted Tier 1 supply chain partner. This includes delivery of mechanical, electrical, HVAC and supporting engineering services under nuclear safety requirements and quality standards.
The Nuclear Supply Chain Manager will play a pivotal role in developing, qualifying and managing the nuclear supply chain that underpins safe, compliant and cost-effective project delivery.
Role Characteristics:
This is a senior operational leadership role within Dalkia’s Nuclear team, reporting to the Commercial and Supply Chain Director.
The Nuclear Supply Chain Manager will be accountable for building and maintaining a fit-for-purpose supply chain that supports Dalkia’s nuclear delivery programme, ensuring SQEP suppliers and subcontractors, adherence to nuclear safety culture and compliance with nuclear standards.
The role demands a hands-on leader who combines procure and supply chain expertise and commercial acumen with a deep understanding of nuclear quality assurance, traceability, and safety case integration.
All candidates should have industry proven experience and relevant qualifications reflective of the role.

Key Deliverables:
- Key advisor to the Commercial and Supply Chain Director and Senior Leadership team on all aspects of the supply chain.
- Be the subject matter expert in the New Nuclear team for all aspects of the supply chain.
- Develop, implement, manage and maintain a nuclear-complaint supply chain strategy.
- Ensure a full understanding and application of quality assurance requirements including grading, hold points, lifetime quality records (LTQR), and traceability expectations associated with nuclear works.
- Develop, lead and manage the supplier and subcontractor pre-qualification, audit and approval process, ensuring compliance with ISO 19443, ISO 9001 and all safety and quality standards and requirements embedded within the procurement and manufacturing oversight processes.
- Establish and maintain supply chain performance management systems and metrics for quality, delivery, cost and compliance.
- Implement and maintain supply chain assurance programmes, including surveillance, corrective action and continuous improvement tracking.
- Implement and monitor controls for Counterfeit, Fraudulent and Suspect Items (CFSI) prevention, detection, and reporting
- Interface directly with client and licensee procurement/QA teams ensuring full alignment of supply chain standards, documentation and reporting.
- Work closely with Commercial, Quality and Engineering functions to verify that supply chain documentation, materials, and manufacturing records meet nuclear quality assurance and lifetime quality records requirements.
- Support project delivery teams with strategic sourcing, supply chain capability mapping, and resolution of supply chain risks.
- Lead supply chain readiness reviews, including documentation for key hold points, manufacturing surveillance and lifetime records.
- Support procurement planning, ensuring early supply chain engagement and risk mitigation.
- Ensure full compliance with Dalkia’s governance
- Foster long-term supply chain partnerships to strengthen Dalkia’s nuclear capability.
- Ensure the formulation and upkeep of essential supply chain strategies, standards, procedures and processes integral to support the Dalkia nuclear business.
- Ensure Dalkia have supply chain agreements, vetting procedures and audits in place to ensure compliance with nuclear policy and procedures.
Key deliverables:
- A qualified, audited and nuclear-compliant supply chain that meets project and client requirements.
- Auditable evidence of compliance across all supply chain tiers
- CFSI control and assurance programme fully operational, documented and reviewed.
- Supply chain assurance plan developed, implemented and maintained
- Supply chain performance reporting and corrective action system operational and integrated with Dalkia systems.
- Quarterly supply chain review board chaired and documented inclusive of coordination with wider Dalkia business units.
- Evidence of LFE (learning from experience), CBI (continuous business improvement) and Zero Harm embedded in supply chain operations.
- Contribution to Tier 1 project readiness reviews, safety case evidence, and client meetings.
- Development, ownership, and maintenance of the Dalkia supply chain strategies, processes, policies and procedures.
- Ownership and maintenance of the Dalkia procurement strategies, processes, policies and procedures.
- Contribution to key senior team development meetings, strategy setting and performance reporting requirements.
Minimum Qualifications/ Experience:
- Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Engineering or related discipline
- Professional accreditation (CIPS, MCIPS, or similar) desirable
- Proven track record of supply chain management in nuclear, defence or other highly regulated sectors
- Demonstrated experience in supply chain qualification, auditing and compliance with Nuclear QA systems.
- Understanding of nuclear safety culture
- Experience leading teams in high-integrity project environments

Working Pattern of Attendance and Location(s):
- 37hrs per week
- Location:
- Office location to be confirmed (likely between Hinkley Point, Aztec West – Bristol).
- Regular travel to client offices, supply chain sites and project locations across the UK.
