Senior Procurement Manager

Dalkia UK are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to support our Nuclear Business Unit. This is a hybrid role will a requirement to travel to national sites in addition to our Dalkia offices

 

Main Purpose of Job:

  • To provide supply chain management, leadership and direction for the Dalkia Facilities Nuclear business.
  • Responsibility for the nuclear procurement strategy which ensures the business is provided a robust supply chain; utilising best in class suppliers at competitive rates to enhance our overall service offering to our customers. Emphasis on ethical sourcing, health & safety, quality, compliance and risk management.
  • Work openly & collaboratively with business stakeholders in respect of supply chain on tenders, supplier management and contracts management covering maintenance, reactive, small works and projects service lines.
  • Deliver profit improvement through better buying, preferred supplier framework agreements, category management and through driving best in class procurement practices.

 

Main Duties

  • Lead and deliver the Dalkia Nuclear Facilities procurement strategy. To continue to develop and enhance the procurement Nuclear strategy for the business in conjunction with the overall business procurement strategy and objectives.  To regularly review agreed procurement Nuclear strategy to ensure it continues to meet the business needs.
  • Ensure preferred supplier list is appropriate for the Nuclear business. This includes national coverage for all service line categories. To promote the use of preferred suppliers and montior compliance to the preferred supplier list.  To address areas of non-compliance.
  • Own and maintain key preferred supplier and subcontractor relationships within the Nuclear business. Identify opportunities to promote added value and innovation initiatives from the supply chain to the Nuclear business to assist in enhancing customer experience of our services.
  • Responsible for implementation of national and regional preferred supplier framework agreements. Involvement in the tendering and negotiation of major sub-contract orders.
  • Support delivery of annual supplier rebate targets and monitor accordingly. This includes the recovery of the same from suppliers on a prompt basis.
  • Educate the Nuclear business on procurement best practice through training, attendance of Nuclear SLT team meetings and awareness programmes.
  • Support the business development team so that competitive advantage is obtained on key bids through sound supply chain sourcing.
  • Support a supplier performance feedback system to ensure suppliers are consistently measured and reviewed, including Health & Safety and Environmental Audits of key subcontractors.
  • Co-ordinate Nuclear procurement activities with Dalkia Facilities and Dalkia Group procurement initiatives and reporting.
  • Resolve other supply chain issues as required.

Requirements

  • Senior level Procurement Management
  • Contract management
  • Understanding of commercial models including cost plus, fixed price, GMP.
  • Category and Supplier Relationship Management
  • Complex Negotiation planning and delivery
  • CIPS Qualified
