Social Value Manager

Dalkia Engineering – Social Value Manager

We are a leading provider of M&E engineering solutions across the UK, delivering complex projects within healthcare, nuclear, defence, government, leisure, industrial and infrastructure sectors. As part of our continued Southern expansion into the South West region, this role will play a key part in strengthening our presence and enhancing the positive impact we deliver across our communities, supported by our Regional Managing Director, Colin Brunton.

We are now seeking an experienced Social Value Manager to lead our social value strategy, embed best practice across the business, and ensure we deliver measurable, meaningful outcomes aligned with client expectations and public sector requirements.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and lead the company-wide social value strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities, CSR commitments and client needs.
  • Embed social value requirements into procurement, tender submissions, contract management and supply chain activity.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, leadership, suppliers, community partners and external agencies.
  • Use recognised frameworks (such as National TOMs) to measure, track and report social value performance and compliance.
  • Drive initiatives focused on employment, skills, diversity, sustainability and digital inclusion.
  • Shape social value commitments and delivery plans for bid submissions.
  • Educate colleagues and suppliers, champion best practice and promote continuous improvement.
  • Manage documentation, reporting and governance to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Represent the business at meetings, events and community engagements as required.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in the construction or engineering sector, ideally in a social value, sustainability or community engagement role.
  • Strong understanding of social value frameworks, public sector requirements and procurement processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of organisation, time management and attention to detail.
  • Confident working independently, managing deadlines and driving initiatives forward.
  • Strong digital skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Creative thinking, problem-solving ability and a passion for delivering positive social impact.
  • Comfortable liaising with clients, suppliers, community partners and internal teams.
