As one of National Grid’s key strategic suppliers on their RIIO-T2 Light Current Turnkey Works (LCT) and Light Current Equipment (LCE) Frameworks Capula provide specialist support to essential improvements and upgrades to National Grid’s UK-wide critical substation infrastructure.
In collaboration with National Grid, Capula supports testing of standards and industry protocols for new and legacy systems. The team ensure resilience and security through the design and implementation of risk reduction and mitigation strategies, support legacy system upgrades and modifications through a dedicated test and simulation facility
Capula has been chosen as the supplier for the National Grid Deeside substation 400kV off-grid High Voltage Test Centre facility which provides an industry sandbox for complete functionality testing, validating and stress testing new technologies before implementation on the electricity network.
