Dalkia have an opportunity for a P/T Cleaning Supervisor to join our team based at our EDF office in Hove.

Job Overview
This is a great opportunity for a proactive Customer Focused individual to join our Facilities Management Team, providing a “5* Customer Service Experience” to users of our site. The role will be the first point of contact for cleaning staff, ensuring that everyone receives a safe start to shifts and understands tasks and standards always needed within our customers office.
To actively support and adopt best practice across all operations within the contract. To be an ambassador for first class Customer Service.
To manage the day to day cleaning team as a working cleaning manager within office buildings onsite including general office areas, kitchens, washrooms, conference and meeting room facilities for EDF staff and liaise with the Building Managers.
To be available to provide cover for colleagues as and when required, have a “can-do” attitude and a flexible approach to the role.
To be conscious and aware of surroundings and identify areas of improvement and efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all aspects of Health & Safety on site in accordance with legislation and Dalkia / EDF policies.
- Ensure first class customer service is delivered to any person who works in or visits our site and be the first point of contact to all office users
- Provide a friendly and professional welcome to all and display the correct behaviours to ensure you are considered as a figurehead of trust and integrity amongst the team
- With the cleaning team ensure the smooth running and effective delivery of the cleaning service across our client, Portland Road buildings.
- Refresh and re-set meeting rooms to ensure highest comfort standards are maintained.
- Monitor and service all areas, i.e. Kitchenette and Breakout areas and ensure general cleanliness, re-stock and clean where appropriate.
- Have a proactive approach to planning and carrying out essential central services. Duties will include (but not limited to):Setting tasks for other cleaners/reviewing standards/ cleaning storage checks/ equipment checks/ general cleaning duties / Carpet maintenance/office deep cleaning/waste disposal and recycling / setting up meeting rooms / setting up breakfast offering including coffee machines/ replenishment of the same and removal at close of service/ provide fire marshal cover.
- Planning best allocation and utilisation team resources for day-to-day service delivery
- Ensuring all customers, staff and contractors adhere to Health & Safety rules for site, ensuring site inductions are carried out and recorded appropriately
- Identify and resolve local customer service issues, driving service improvements and exercising good judgement
- To own and take responsibility if allocated floor area and ensure that a 5* Customer Service is experienced by all
- To be visible to all users and build relationships with all
- Ensure the general office and meeting room environments are clean, tidy and presentable at all times and free from excess/surplus furniture
- Have a full working knowledge of the building including all appropriate services and evacuation procedures understanding where your role fits in with both.
- To be ready to change your own activities to meet different circumstances.
Person Specification
- Able to communicate at all levels and share information effectively
- Able to provide excellent levels of customer service and possess experience in customer service driven environment

- IT skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, TEAMS)
