Cleaning Supervisor

Dalkia UK is seeking an experienced and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to join our diverse team at St Patricks RC High School, providing first-line management of cleaning staff and ensuring high-quality service delivery in line with contract specifications. This is a permanent, 25 hours per week contract based in Eccles, where you will be responsible for supervising cleaning teams, maintaining high standards, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements, and delivering services within budget. You will play a key role in supporting staff, monitoring performance, and liaising with the Facilities Manager to ensure client expectations are consistently met.

The Role

  • Supervise and support cleaning staff on a daily basis
  • Ensure cleaning standards meet contractual output specifications
  • Manage staff levels, sickness, absence and temporary cover
  • Monitor Health & Safety compliance, including accident and near-miss reporting
  • Manage cleaning equipment, consumables, and stock control within budget
  • Complete timesheets, absence summaries and staff PDRs
  • Schedule deep cleans during school holiday periods
  • Monitor staff training and encourage development
  • Liaise with the Facilities Manager and report issues as required

Salary

  • £13.71

Essential skills and experience

  • COSHH training
  • BICS qualification
  • Experience in an FM or contract cleaning environment
  • Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning
  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Client-focused approach
  • Experience managing stock and budgets

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check, the cost of which will be funded by the Company.
