Senior Quantity Surveyor – South
Dalkia Engineering is pleased to offer an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong Mechanical and Electrical background to join our Specialist Services Team in London.
In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting multiple sites across the South providing hands-on commercial leadership across a variety of meaningful projects.

What We’re Looking For
- Extensive experience in commercial management and subcontractor procurement.
- Professional Qualification (e.g HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma) or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of monthly reporting processes and requirements.
- Ability to mentor, support, and positively influence other members of the commercial team.
- Proven experience within the construction industry, specifically with an M&E subcontractor, and a solid working knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
- M&E subcontracting background is essential.
- Demonstrable track record in cost control, reporting, subcontractor management, and change management.
- Experience working within live, operational environments is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

What you’ll be doing
- Lead the commercial management of multiple Nuclear projects, including procurement, cost reporting, and contract administration.
- Measure and value works both onsite and from drawings, covering valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Prepare and submit Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and cost to complete assessments.
- Manage and maximise project cash flow.
- Produce accurate cash flow and turnover forecasts.
- Complete internal valuations, CVRs, and subcontract liability reports in line with accounting period schedules and deadlines.
- Prepare, negotiate, and agree final accounts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Ensure full compliance with contract terms (NEC, JCT, etc.) and internal governance requirements.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and internal stakeholders
