This new build state-of-the-art private hospital for Circle Health in Birmingham will provide surgery, high-tech rehabilitation and other healthcare services.
The works started as a 10,400 sq m facility which increased in scope to incorporate an additional 7,600 sq m rehabilitation and bedroom space, taking the number of en-suite rooms from 20 to 140. Dalkia initially partnered with Simons Construction on this project. However, following Simon’s going into administration in late October 2019 with services partially completed, the Dalkia team were appointed by Circle Health as Principal Contractor to complete the project.
Dalkia had to remobilise immediately to avoid building stagnation issues and ensure the programme remained on track. We worked through this challenging period, collaborating closely with the client and entire project team.
As a result of the relationships and confidence we had built in the early stages of the project we were able to agree an open and transparent proposal to complete the project, as quickly as possible, avoiding potentially costly consequences.
