We’re providing total facilities management services across 19 PFI schools throughout the Kirklees area in West Yorkshire.
Our dedicated management team, local engineering workforce, and supply chain provide mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance services, project works, and soft facilities management to schools across Huddersfield. From reactive and planned maintenance, project delivery and cleaning services to energy and lifecycle management, we take a proactive approach to all works, creating safe, comfortable learning environments where pupils thrive.
Key to our success has been developing transparent communication with stakeholders, including teachers, governors and, where appropriate, the pupils themselves, so we can better understand their needs when planning the delivery of maintenance work. Working together minimises disruption and keeps schools operational while meeting everyone’s daily needs. Bigger projects, including asset lifecycle improvements, are carefully planned and carried out over the summer holidays. This open approach gives each school the confidence to depend on us to maintain and deliver functioning, comfortable and safe environments for staff and pupils.
As well as developing a preventative maintenance plan for each school, operated using our 24/7/365 helpdesk and Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) system, we ensure a risk-free environment. Our specialist skills and expertise help safeguard everyone’s health and welfare by providing legionella and asbestos monitoring and control and fully managed life safety systems.
The team dedicated to the Kirklees Council PPP contract have integrated with the council representatives over the years to achieve common aims which benefit the ultimate customer – schools. During the Covid situation, they have remained agile and responsive to an ever-changing horizon without pursuing a commercial position.
