Quality Assurance Manager – Nuclear

Are you an experienced Quality Assurance professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the nuclear sector? we are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our Specialist Services team to support multiple projects in the North and South of England.   You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining the highest standards of quality across complex and safety-critical projects.

What We’re Looking For:

  • HNC/HND qualifications in Quality Management.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality assurance practices in nuclear or highly regulated environments, including standards such as ISO 9001 and nuclear-specific requirements (e.g. ONR, IAEA, ASME, RCC-M).
  • Understanding of Project Delivery Systems (PDS) and quality planning across the full project lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance Management roles within the nuclear, defence, or infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven ability to manage supplier and contractor quality assurance, including audits, inspections, and surveillance activities.
  • Demonstrated experience with change management processes such as Design Change Notifications (DCNs), early warnings, and non-conformance management.
  • Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (IRCA or equivalent) desirable
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Eligibility to pass CTC and SC Clearances (essential) and flexibility to travel

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure full compliance with Dalkia’s Quality Process requirements across all Specialist Services operations.
  • Provide governance and oversight to ensure adherence to corporate and project-specific quality standards and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a surveillance plan to manage quality-related risks within the Specialist Services portfolio.
  • Review, comment on, and support the development of Quality Plans, Quality Programmes, and Project Quality Documentation.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Quality Assurance with both Dalkia Engineering and client QA groups.
  • Assist Project and Site Managers with surveillance and inspection visits to manufacturers and subcontractors, on-site and off-site.
  • Monitor and support supply chain and contractor quality arrangements, including quality plans, method statements, and procedural controls.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Project Delivery System (PDS) and Quality Management Systems.
  • Track and analyse quality performance data, including surveillance closeouts, non-conformities, and trends, report findings monthly to senior leadership.
  • Support change control processes, including Design Change Notifications (DCNs), Early Warnings, and Compensation Events.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports on quality performance, highlighting good practices and identifying any deteriorating trends for review by the Senior Leadership Team.
