Main Purpose of Job:

To manage and supervise specified contracts and property portfolios to the required output and quality standards. To plan and organize all work associated with their responsibility in terms of both planned and reactive works. To act as a responsible point of contact for the client for resolving any queries of a technical or performance nature. To liaise on a regular basis with the client to ensure that all works – PPM and Reactive are being carried out in a satisfactory manner and within the requirements of the contract and without disruption. To manage a team of multi-skilled staff and nominated sub-contractors to ensure satisfactory completion of the contract.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

CONTRACT DELIVERY

  • Supervisor workforce
  • Ensure that all relevant documentation has been completed by all of the appropriate person
  • Maintain good working relationships with the Client, office staff and the end users, resolving all operational difficulties where appropriate and seeking, demonstrating and ensuring a “can do” attitude and a “nothing is too much trouble” mentality to all works undertaken
  • Monitor the output, cost and quality of work of all subordinate staff and take remedial action where appropriate. Ensure all chargeable works that are carried out are captured and submitted for invoicing
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits and inductions
  • Allocate plant and specialist equipment to enable work to be undertaken in the most cost effective and productive manner.
  • Participate and co-ordinate all emergency arrangements and responses when and if the need arises.
  • Make recommendations to the Project and Contract Manager on matters that will improve the productivity, costs, quality etc. of all work for which the Company has a responsibility
  • Participate in providing training and instruction to all employees on all the relevant H & S issues and randomly check that all employees are carrying out their work in accordance with the company H & S regulations and guide lines
  • Deputies for contract manager when they are away from the business.

PEOPLE

  • Responsibility for motivation, welfare of staff and labor.
  • Proactively encourage team working, including regular on site presence.
  • Continually review and recommend appropriate training
  • Lead by example in ensuring people issues are carried out in a fair and reasonable manner
  • Ensure that the team are working to our QSHE and CDM policies
  • Ensure that the Company’s HR policies and procedures are adhered to
  • First point of contact for engineering issues staff face

RISK

  • Ensure quality standards are adhered to, and standards for the contract are met, whilst implementing and maintaining systems for Health, Safety and Environmental issues
  • Ensure compliance with the companies ‘Golden Rules’
  • Ensure the Company’s risk is managed through the BMS system
  • Maintain a proactive approach in managing the Company’s risk

CUSTOMER RELATIONS

  • Manage client, to ensure customer satisfaction, resolve any issues in a professional and efficient manner
  • Ensure client is fully aware of the current financial situation of tasks and uplifts are requested as required
  • Participate as part of the capture team on quoted works as required
  • Attend any meetings with the client as required
