About the Role

Technician (Infrastructure), Colwyn Bay, Competitive Salary

Dalkia Engineering have an opportunity for a Technician to join our specialist on site. The team compromise of a small team of local operatives who are responsible for the maintenance of the assets associated with the North Wales Trunk Road agency which covers all roads and tunnels in North and Mid Wales. The team manage the maintenance and fault call out of all the North and Mid Wales trunk roads including signs, phones, CCTV and Tunnels.

The regional depot is based out of Colwyn- North Wales, the role of Technician will be in Conwy working alongside North and Mid Wales trunk road agency.

Key Accountabilities

  • Asset Inventory updating of the Welsh Government Electrical Asset Management System (LMS). Activities shall include:
    • Bulk uploading electrical and structural certificates.
    • Using Query builder to run reports to identify assets that have missing / incorrect information.
    • Updating individual assets.
    • Assistance with the ongoing management of the PowerBI applications for the defect and minor works.
  • Administrative assistance which shall include:
    • Preparation of maintenance works reports.
    • Minutes of meetings.
    • Assisting the team with ensuring asset / project documentation is electronically stored in the correct location (i.e. population of the collaboration portal / TEDDMS).
  • Assisting the LMS lead with the maintenance and development of the system.
  • Assisting the street lighting and ITS managers with ad-hoc administrative tasks.

Key Skills

  • Fully conversant with IT systems, Excel, word
  • Must have health and safety awareness
  • Must have a current driving licence
  • Have a knowledge of the Welsh language (Desirable)
