We provided full mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) packages for the development, including a swimming pool, games hall, gym, café, changing rooms, and improved football and tennis facilities. There’s also a new support and resource facility created for adults with learning disabilities.
The main contractor involved us early in the design review process to test designs and pre-empt any risks to the programme and budget.
Working together, we identified and mitigated various issues, including the location of communications rooms and the design of systems containment, leading to a breach of the maximum cabling regulation. To overcome the issue, we included a remote satellite cabinet to compensate for the extra distance.
