iPort Doncaster is a 500 acre Strategic Intermodal Logistics Park of Grade A Warehousing and a 35 acre Euro Gauge Freight Terminal.

Project Overview

The development provides a 1,020,000 sq ft fulfilment centre for a well-known online retailer, which comprises 54,000 sq ft offices and staff quarters and 7,000 sq ft drivers welfare facility. Dalkia were appointed to provide mechanical, electrical and public health service installations to serve the 1,100,000 sq ft office and warehouse spaces.

Approach

In order to ensure the defined phases of the project were delivered on time and with early access the Dalkia team strategically utilised a variety of off-site pre-fabricated solutions.

These solutions included packaged plant rooms, modularised M&E installations for office areas, packaged external chilled water pump housings which in turn included power and lighting and modular air handling units with fully integrated controls.

Result

The facility successfully achieved a BREEAM rating of Very Good.

Testimonial

The business is very proactive with regards to unique thinking.
