The new building at Airedale’s General Hospital will house two state-of-the-art barn-style theatres, a small procedures suite, main entrance, and outpatient waiting area.
The new theatres will allow more operations to take place at Airedale Hospital, reducing the number of patients attending alternative facilities and staying overnight.
Dalkia’s proven track record of delivering projects within hospital environments was a primary reason for appointing them. Our previous strong track record of delivering successful projects together also made them the ideal choice to work with us at Airedale.

Neil Hogg, Regional Director, Dalkia Engineering Services commented: ‘This project at Airedale General Hospital adds to our extensive portfolio of work for NHS Trusts across the UK and our region. Our team are very experienced in working in live, critical environments having delivered projects for the NHS previously. They will work closely with the Hospital Estates Team and Sir Robert McAlpine to ensure minimal disruption to staff and patients throughout the project.’
